Matz Sels (29/06/2016)
24 year old Belgian goalkeeper Matz Sels joins us for an estimated £4.5m from Belgian side KAA Gent. The 6’2 shot-stopper has already amassed 138 career appearances in the Jupiler Pro League & Champions League last season and being awarded “Best Goalkeeper of Belgium 2015”. Matz will no doubt increase competition amongst our injury-ravaged goalkeepers.

Dwight Gayle (01/07/2016)
Dwight joins us for a significant £10m fee after a meteoric rise from non-league football saw him out of favour at Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace. In 74 appearances for CPFC he netted 25 goals, a reasonable return made more impressive when you consider nearly half of those were substitute appearances. Described as an “energetic, hardworking, pacey striker” Dwight will add some much needed maturity and Championship experience to our front line.

Matt Ritchie (01/07/2016)
The third of our summer signings come in the shape of £12m Matt Ritchie of Bournemouth; another player with an abundance of Championship experience. Scottish international Ritchie operates as a winger/inside forward, he netted 31 times in 138 apps for Bournemouth in his 4-year stint. Unlike Gayle, Matt was a regular for Bournemouth but has happily dropped down a division to link up with Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle.

Jesus Gamez (08/07/2016)
Versatile full-back Jesus Gamez joins us for £3m from Champions League runners up Athletico Madrid. At 31-years old he staggeringly is the first 30+ player we’ve spent a fee on this decade; a clear change of direction from Benitez. Jesus brings a wealth of experience and leadership to our back four; having spent the vast majority of his career captaining Spanish side Malaga (2005-14)

Isaac Hayden (11/07/2016)
Highly-rated Arsenal youngster Isaac Hayden joins us for an estimated £2.5m on a 5-year deal. Having spent last season on loan at promoted Hull City Isaac is no stranger to the Championship and can operate in defensive midfield or anywhere across the back four.

Grant Hanley (21/07/2016)
24-year old Scottish international centre-back Grant Hanley joins us for £5.5m from Championship side Blackburn Rovers. The former captain has a wealth of Championship experience having made over 200 career appearances at only 24 years old. The combative, commanding centre-back will bring much needed leadership and experience to our faltering back-four.

Ciaran Clark (03/08/2016)
clarkVersatile defender 26-year old Ciaran Clark joins us from also relegated Aston Villa where he spent his formative years, having come through the academy and been promoted to the first team in 2009. In total he made 159 appearances for the club, scoring 10 goals. Another release clause signing, Ciaran joins us for an estimated £5m

Mohamed Diame (03/08/2016)
Newcastle United Unveil New Signing Mohamed Diame
29-year old French midfielder Diame joins us from Hull City where he spent 2 years. The powerful attacking midfielder has a wealth of Premier League experience, having featured in 7 consecutive season with Wigan, West Ham and Hull. He joins us for an estimated £4.5m; reportedly his release clause.

DeAndre Yedlin (25/08/2016)
Newcastle United Unveil New Signing DeAndre YedlinAmerican wing-back DeAndre Yedlin joins us for an estimated £5m fee from Tottenham Hotspur, having spent last season on loan at Sunderland. The 23-year old USA international is described as a pacey, energetic full-back who can also operate at wing back and wide midfield.

Daryl Murphy (28/08/2016)murphy
Irish international forward joins us from Ipswich Town for an estimated £3m. At 33-years old, Murphy is very much a short-term solution to add experience to an incredibly young front-line. The former Sunderland man has netted 50 goals in 125 Championship games for Ipswich since 2011.

Achraf Lazaar (28/08/2016)lazaar
Achraf if the first Morrocan ever to play for Newcastle United. He joins us from Palermo for an estimated £3m fee. Aged only 24, he comes with a wealth of experience having made over 100 league games (in Italian Serie A & B) to date for Palmero and Varese respectively. Described as an attacking full-back, the Morrocan can also operate at wing-back and left wing.

All stated fees are pure author/media speculation and do not necessarily represent actual expenditure.
